I can’t even decide what else I can do. Training for a half marathon didn’t stabilize my weight, and not working out definitely doesn’t. It’s so frustrating because I DO make good decisions, but I feel like good decisions and exercising just isn’t enough for my body. So, I am looking to improve my diet, again. I think one of the major sources of my weight craziness might be added sugars. Do you try to avoid added sugar? What are some tips and tricks? How do you determine what foods to avoid and what foods are OK? Please let me know your feedback!

I need some help!

Avoiding added sugar isn't too hard if you prepare most of your food yourself, and avoid packaged type stuff. If you do buy something prepared (juice or something) just check the label.
ReplyDeleteAre you eating enough fats? It is hard for me to feel satiated after a meal unless there's some olive oil, coconut milk/oil, or avocado in there. Maybe that would help? And those fats are super healthy, as I'm sure you know! :)
And don't stress about the scale. I know I fluctuate up to 5 pounds a day sometimes. Maybe you're just a fluctuator too.
I try not to avoid anything. Sugar is a problem for me, since I end up craving it nonstop, so I just try to limit it. When I decide a food is off-limits, I end up wanting it more. :-p
ReplyDeleteI've had trouble in the past with crash dieting, and then trying to balance myself out. Do you know if you're eating enough calories? You said you get the three meals a day, but if you're under the amount your body needs, that could be your only problem...
Just stopped by to say hello, though. I'm not an RD or anything, so feel free to disregard my suggestions. I'm here if you need a sounding board! :-)
